“A Salute to America” Picnic & Concert

May 27, 5:30 p.m. Picnic on the Creek
7:00 p.m. Free Concert in the Sanctuary

This exciting event is our gift to the community. There will be games for the children and even duck races at the creek! The concert will feature the St. Andrew Chancel Choir and Imperial Brass. Bring your food and blanket. St. Andrew will provide drinks.

Memorial Day

The church offices will be closed Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day.

Wesley Hall Renovation Begins May 29

Renovation for The Well begins May 29 and runs through mid-August. During the renovation, the 8:00 a.m. service will be held in Festival Hall and the Saturday night service will take place In the Sanctuary.

St. Andrew Hosts Ordination Service

June 4, 7:00 p.m., Sanctuary

Our church family will celebrate the ordination of Arthur Jones and Nancy Sherman at the North Texas Annual Conference service of Ordination. A reception will follow the service in Piro Hall.

Vacation Bible School

We need YOU! Sign up today to be a volunteer in Vacation Bible School. We need Captains to lead our children through the Heroes of St. Andrew. We also need volunteers to help with snacks, crafts, recreation, hospitality and decorating. Sign up this month and you get a free Heroes T-shirt!

Middle School Mission Trip - Registration is now OPEN!

June 10-16 - Copperas Cove, TX

For all students entering grades 6, 7 and 8 in the fall of 2012.  We will serve Central Texas families in need through various home repair and service ministries.  Each day will consist of challenging but rewarding work on the mission sites, praise and worship and group time.  Free time activities include swimming, rock climbing, go karts, paddle boats and a zip line.  Don't miss this great opportunity to go, grow and give of yourself!

Cost:  $349  Price includes everything but travel meals (approx. $40 cash)

NOTE:  Parent Volunteers are CRITICAL to Mission Trip!  Enrollment is limited based on adult registrations (1:5 ratio).

SMAK (Summer Musical Adventure for Kids)

SMAK is a fine arts camp geared for children who express an interest in music, drama, and dance. This camp helps children discover hidden talents and express themselves creatively in a way that glorifies God. The week will conclude with a spectacular performance of all they have learned. Registration is open to anyone entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our theme is “Red, White, and the Blues”.

Special Offering for Tornado Victims

Our church is receiving a special offering for the victims of the recent tornados that devastated areas of the Metroplex. If you wish to donate to this United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) fund, you can do so by donating to St. Andrew United Methodist Church and designating your gift toward the Tornado Relief Fund. 100% of your gift will go directly in support of those who lost their homes and property. Furniture donations can be made to the Custer Road United Methodist Church’s Bedstart Program.
