Extremequest
9:30 a.m.
At the 9:30 Sunday School hour, 4th and 5th graders begin their Sunday mornings in the "Hang Out Room" (room 217). There they enjoy 10-15 minutes of fellowship and interaction through games, video games, foosball, crafts and karaoke. We then move to Andy's Place (room 218) for Large Group Time, which lasts 15 minutes. During this time, Cari Vega, Minister to Children and Families, shares an overview of the lesson. You never know what will happen in the Large Group Time, but you can count on interaction and lively discussion! Following this, everyone breaks into small groups where continuted discussion is facilitated by their leader/teacher.
The 9:30 a.m. Sunday School hour of Extreme Quest uses the Grapple curriculum, which takes abstract concepts, such as "Does every one go to Heaven?" and "Why can't I see a PG13 movie?" and puts Biblical truth behind the answers.
11:00 a.m.
4th and 5th graders meet in room 235. At this hour, the Faith Weavers curriculum is used. It is designed to allow families to learn the same lesson on Sunday and have a common point of reference for discussion. Weekly the children will bring home "Driving Home the Point" pages. This special addition to our Children's Ministry is designed to help families connect the learning that takes place at Church with their daily lives.
