Choral Ensembles

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is at the very heart of the music ministry of St. Andrew. Over 100 members strong, this ensemble provides musical leadership each Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:15 p.m. Childcare is provided with advance reservations. Each spring, the Chancel Choir and orchestra perform a major work as a part of the St. Andrew Concert Series. Past works include the Fauré Requiem, Haydn's Nelson Mass, Brahms' Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem. New members are always welcome to join us.

Voices A cappella

Voices A cappella is the only auditioned ensemble at St. Andrew. Each of the 20 members is actively involved in at least one of the other primary adult ensembles. The group rehearses at noon on Wednesdays and sings in worship every first Sunday of the month. In addition to its leadership in worship at St. Andrew, Voices A cappella also has many opportunities to sing at various locations outside of the church. Each year the group sings for several retirement homes and company events.

St. Andrew Sisters

Arguably the most fun group of singers at St. Andrew, the St. Andrew Sisters rehearse each Monday at 11:30 a.m. and sing on second Sundays of the month in worship services in Wesley Hall and the Sanctuary. This group of nearly 20 ladies also participates in the annual Valentine show and is frequently asked to sing at UMW circle meetings at Christmastime. Childcare is provided during rehearsal time with advance reservations.
