Message of Hope through Men's Golf Tournament

The United Methodist Men will hold their fundraising Golf Tournament at The Golf Club at Castle Hills in Lewisville. UMM has awarded $75,000+ to deserving college students. See photos from last year's tournament.

From Frisco/McKinney:
Take 121 South to Main St. (in the Colony) Also known as Josey Lane. Make a left on Main, cross the railroad tracks, make a right on King Arthur and a right on Lady of the Lake.
From Dallas North Tollway:
Take the Tollway N, exit Parker Rd. in Plano. Make a left on Parker Rd. heading west approx 5 miles (this will turn FM 544). Make a left on Josey Lane (Main), right on King Arthur and a right on Lady of the Lake.

United Methodist Men (UMM) is about Christian
men’s growth through service, learning and fellowship. This
ministry is established to awaken, inspire, challenge, train, and support
men as they strive to become more Christ-like in their daily living.
Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives
of men and in all their relationships. The focal points
of UMM are:
- Encourage the knowledge of and support for the total
mission of the United Methodist Church
- Clarify and speak to the identity and role of the
Christian man in contemporary society
- Seek commitment to Christian discipleship
A primary mission of St Andrew's UMM is our "Messenger
of Hope" Scholarship Fund, which was founded to award scholarships
each year to help students in economic need achieve their college or
post-education goals. In 2006 we raised $16,500 for disbursement
as 2007 scholarships. The scholarship fund is primarily funded through
events hosted by UMM, such as:
- The annual UMM
Golf Tournament is October 27,2007.
Last year's tournament was a great success and raised $11,500 for the scholarships awarded
this school year.

The following information and application form are provided
for use by UMM who are serving as liasons with local high schools and
community organizations in order to encourage scholarship applicants.
Join us for our regular meetings at 8:00 A.M.
on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Piro Hall, which is located
downstairs on the Terrace Level northeast of the sanctuary. Please
join us for good fellowship, breakfast, a spirited program and information
on upcoming mission opportunities.
