.: Career Care Resources

Crossroads Career Network

St. Andrew UMC is a member church of the Crossroads Career Network.  This program provides an outstanding website (http://www.crossroadscareer.org) that provides a wealth of resources for career explorers and employers.

For career explorers, there is a six-step, Christ-centered job search and career transition model; a 150-page Crossroads Careerฎ Explorer's Guide with instructions, exercises and devotionals; a career portal to over 120 career resources; and a job board to find career opportunities with local employers - for free through St. Andrew!

For employers, there is free access to a state-of-the-art job board to post jobs, find candidates and track applicants - by church, city, state or nationally. If you are an employer, please make this the first place to post your position and find candidates.

Job Boards

The following lists of job boards provide a quick access to some of the job listing web sites our members have found useful.

Resume Writing

Your resume is a marketing document; it is not merely an exhaustive work history. Employers will use your resume to evaluate your abilities and attitudes. Therefore, your written communication must help them draw the right conclusions about you. The following resources provide a broad range of information on how to present yourself in the best light.

Interviewing Skills

Another essential for a job candidate is proper interviewing skills, so that when you capture the potential employer's attention you make the most of it.
