Rev. Daniel Gowan, M.Div., M.A., LCDC, LPC

Daniel Gowan offers private counseling at St. Andrew. Daniel holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Amberton University and he holds a Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology at SMU.

Rev. Gowan is an Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a member of Grace Presbytery. Daniel offers private counseling to both individuals and groups. He also makes presentations and offers seminars to churches, schools, civic groups and businesses on a variety of subjects. In addition, he is a regular contributor to the Dallas Morning News on parenting and mental health issues.

Jenny Gomez, MS, LPC, RPT

Jenny Gomez is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist and has years of experience in both private and non-profit settings working with children & adolescents, individuals, families, and couples struggling with a variety of issues including:

Ready to Heal is a six-week series exploring coping mechanisms and strategies to help you face the complexities of relationships, growth, learning about ourselves, and most importantly the healing process.

St. Andrew Public Lecture Series

The Public Lecture Series sponsored by the St. Andrew Counseling Center seeks to broaden the knowledge base for professionals and families as we all grow in recovery and wholeness. The lecture series brings together practitioners, the church and the larger community for this purpose. St. Andrew is cooperating with The Meadows in Wickenburg, AZ and the Hazelden Foundation to bring nationally recognized speakers to address issues important to our community.

The Meadows is a multi-disorder facility specializing in the treatment of trauma and addiction. The Meadows’ clinical experts reach beyond single-level treatment of addictions, behavioral disorders and psychological conditions to diagnose and treat the underlying problems.

LastFridaySeminar.com provides engaging, informative seminars and workshops of interest to the community. Join us on the last Friday of the month to grow and learn. Our speakers offer interesting presentations that will help and enrich you in your day to day life.

The seminars are from 9:00 a.m.- Noon at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. Located at 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75093 (1/4 mi. east of the N. Dallas Tollway).

Counseling Practicum and Intern Supervision

The St. Andrew Counseling Center has two LPC Counselors available for LPC Supervision. In addition, we are an approved Practicum Site for local Masters Level Counseling Students and we take a limited number of students each semester. Internships are also available and interested applicants are encouraged to apply well in advance of graduation to explore this opportunity.
