Saturday
Night Worship
(5:30 p.m.)
Saturday night has never been so "ALIVE!" Every Sunday
at St. Andrew, we dig into the Bible and discover real answers
to the real challenges we face every day. And now it happens
on Saturday night, too! Join Rev. Charles Stokes and music
by Chris Crook and Bradley Reznicek in the Saturday
Night Alive service at 5:30 p.m. each week in Wesley
Hall.
Our 8:15 a.m. service with Rev. Edlen Cowley will get you
that head start you need. Enjoy the traditional format you’ve
come to expect, be refreshed in an atmosphere of worship, and
hear messages to inspire each of us to make a powerful impact
in this crazy world!
Sunday
Worship (9:30, 11:00am)
Rev. Edlen Cowley leads The Gathering, “50 minutes of inspiration,
challenge, and transformation,” each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m.
in Wesley Hall. The Gathering is the exciting, uplifting, and
vibrant contemporary worship community of St. Andrew UMC.
Gathering Worship Celebrations communicate with a creative
voice, offering a blend upbeat, driving music, and relevant, motivating,
simple, straightforward, and at times humorous Bible-based Faith
Talks (Sermons). If you’re looking a community that will receive
and challenge you to become a devoted disciple, a place where
you can have fun with others as you grow in faith, then you should
be definitely be in Wesley Hall this Sunday Morning at 11:00am.
The
traditional 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services are led
by Rev. Robert Hasley in the sanctuary each Sunday morning.
The Chancel Choir provides music during both services.
Special appearances by Voices A cappella, youth choirs, the
men's chorus, St. Andrew Sisters, Bells of St. Andrew, orchestra,
children's choirs, and varied soloists and instrumentalists
on occasion. |
CDs available to Homebound
We record our Sunday morning worship services. CDs are available
free of charge to those that are homebound and cannot come to
church. If you are someone that is homebound or know someone
who is homebound, contact Donna Fenwick at 24-291-8011.
A
brief communion service is held each Sunday in the Prayer Chapel
at 9:10 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. The service lasts approximately
10 minutes.
Ever
thought of being an Acolyte?
4th and 5th Graders of St. Andrew can serve the church
in a big, BIG way!
How?
As an Acolyte.
Acolytes
are important people in the worship service. Acolytes
are the ones who first enter the sanctuary and bring forward
the lit flame to light the candles on the altar.
We light the candles to remind us that Jesus is the light
of the world, and that this light still shines on our
world today. The candles remain lit until the end of the
worship service. Just as the acolytes begin the
service by bringing the light forward, they are the ones
who first leave the service. Acolytes carry the
lit flame, reminding all of us that Jesus tells us to
go out into the world and proclaim the good news. |
Listening Aids Available
Headphones are available during all sanctuary worship
services to allow those who are hearing impaired to hear music
and spoken words by using radio signals.
If you would like to use a set of these headphones, please come
to the Information Booth 10 minutes before the service
begins.
